PHILIP ALEXANDRE from New York

WQXR is the premier center of excellence for classical music here in New York and the only one of such quality. One comment: the website should display pieces played live without need to search them on the site. It would also be fascinating to place classical pieces in their historical context something that is hardly attempted. Tonight's Ravel program is a prime example. Ravel indeed was part of the "entre deux guerres" period, an extremely fascinating time period particularly rich artistically where history had a profound influence on art especially in France, in turn leaving a permanent imprint in in the artistic legacy of that time.
continue the great work.
