One of the great villains of the stage, Shakespeare’s Richard III, is in power once again.

Kevin Spacey, who's played plenty of villains on the big screen, is under Sam Mendes’s direction as the humpbacked English king in this production that brings the Bridge Project – a collaboration in classic theater between British and American artists led by Mendes – to its regular New York home base, the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Harvey Theater.

Charles Isherwood, theater critic for The New York Times, joins Jeff Spurgeon to rule on Spacey's portrayal of one of Shakespeare's most malignant creations.
