This week’s Young Artist Showcase is full of prize winners. First up is a live studio session with DiYi Tang, a young pianist from Shanghai. Tang gave us a preview of his upcoming recital, which will be presented by the Performing Arts Consortium at Carnegie’s Weill Hall.

Then we go back to winners of the 2011 Young Concert Artists International Auditions: violinist Paul Huang with the Red Violin Caprices, and violist Veit Hertenstein with a Piazzolla Tango.

Finally, the young saxophonist Ashu, a Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant winner, brings a different take on two more tangos by Astor Piazzolla.

Program details:

Stravinsky/Arr. Arthur Rubinstein: Danse Russe from Petrushka
Chopin: Andante Spianato and Grande Polonaise
-- Diyi Tang, piano.

Corigliano: Red Violin Caprices

I would very much like to have a copy of the recording of the two Ashu pieces. How do I get them?
