Saturday Morning Cartoons: Marionette and Master

Saturday, April 07, 2012

For this week’s Saturday morning cartoon, we have chosen Charles Gounod’s Funeral March of a Marionette.

It's the singular soundtrack to the 2001 computer-generated cartoon "Puppet" created by Anzovin Studio. In the short, Dennis the dog stars as both master and marionette in this wordless ballet

This Gounod piece has also been featured in such cartoons as "Animaniacs" and "Ren and Stimpy."

What?!? No credit for Alfred Hitchcock? Though there was a brief credit in the clip you posted.
