This week’s Young Artists Showcase features special live audition performances from the Nadia Reisenberg Award Competition. In addition to being a frequent guest on WQXR and a longtime professor at Mannes College The New School for Music, to host Bob Sherman, pianist Nadia Reisenberg was known simply as “mother.”

Earlier this year, we heard Reisenberg Award-winner Reed Tetzloff. Now we’ll hear five superb live performances by the school’s top students.

Program details:

Chopin: Four Etudes, Op. 25
-- Iryna Arbatskaya

Chopin: Ballade No. 4 in F Minor
Eun-Ae Lee

Liszt: Harmonies du Soir
-- Timur Mustakimov

Chopin: Barcarolle
-- Jiliang Wu

Chopin: Andante Spianato and Grand Polonaise
-- Naomi Kudo
