Saturday Morning Cartoons: Carnival of the Animals

Saturday, August 18, 2012

This week's Saturday morning cartoon is Camille Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals, which is used in the flamingo scene in the movie "Fantasia 2000."

This is the second and final weekend of Saint-Saens and His World at the Bard Music Festival at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., a celebration and exploration of this composer that goes way beyond this famous and beloved work.

And here are a few more:

Sir Centipede performing the "Fossils: movement.

Bugs, Daffy and Michael Tilson Thomas.
