The Young Artists Showcase heads uptown this week, picking up bits that were left out of previous shows.

PUBLIQuartet performs the Andante from the Brahms String Quartet No. 3 at the inaugural Robert Mann String Quartet Institute at the Manhattan School of Music in Morningside Heights. Then the Manhattan School of Music Symphony, under the direction of Philippe Entremont, performs Copland’s Appalachian Spring.

The finale is a US premiere of Richard Danielpour’s piece Souvenirs, written as a 75th birthday present to conductor Philippe Entremont.
