Given its economic output and its proximity to Pakistan and Afghanistan, there's little doubt that India will continue to be a major world player in 2010.

David Sanger, chief Washington correspondent for The New York Times, joins WNYC's Kerry Nolan today from Delhi, India for this week's Washington Report.

Sanger talks to Kerry Nolan about what Indian officials think about President Barack Obama's new strategies for Afghanistan and Pakistan, the economic rivalry between China and India, and India's relationship with Iran.
