This week, From the Top comes to you from Weber State University’s Austad Auditorium in Ogden, Utah, where you'll hear a talented duo from the Salt Lake City area play Tchaikovsky and the teenage winners of the Discover National Chamber Music Competition in Chicago perform the monumental final movement of the String Quartet No. 9 by Dimitri Shostakovich.

Program details:

Oboist Nicholas Tisherman, 17, from Katonah, N.Y., performs I.Allegro from the Sonata in F major, KV 370 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Midnight Duo (violinist Aubree Oliverson, 13, from Orem, Utah, and pianist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Anastasia Magamedova, 14, from Murray, Utah) perform III. Finale from the Violin Concerto in D major, Op.35 by Peter Illyich Tchaikovsky.

Soprano Hannah Urias, 18, from McAllen, Texas, peforms Quando m'en vo from "La Boheme" by Giacomo Puccini.

Meshugene Quartet (violinist Lisa Chertok, 18, from Vernon Hills, Ill.; violinist Rachel Stenzel,15, from Holiday Hills, Ill.; violist Ariel Chapman, 18, from Lincolnshire, Ill.; and cellist Christopher Gao, 15, from Long Grove, Ill.) performs V.Allegro from the String Quartet No.9 in E-flat, Op.117, by Dmitri Shostakovich.

Pianist Trenton Chang, 14, from Logan, Utah, performs III. Anime from the Sonatine by Maurice Ravel.
