Saturday Morning Cartoons: Musical Moments from Chopin

Saturday, October 06, 2012

The featured music in this Saturday’s cartoon is Frederic Chopin’s Fantasie-impromptu in C-sharp Minor, Op. 66. This piece is featured in a 1947 Woody Woodpecker cartoon called “Musical Moments from Chopin," from the "Musical Miniatures" series.

Plenty of other great Chopin pieces are also in this cartoon, see if you can identify them. (Hint: They include “Military” and “Heroic” Polonaises and the Scherzo No. 2 in B-flat Minor.)

Woody and friends wind up setting a piano ablaze to the strains of Chopin, but all ends up okay.
