Daniil Trifonov Daniil Trifonov

Alan Gilbert leads the New York Philharmonic in an all-Russian program beginning with Mussorgsky’s thrilling Night on Bald Mountain. Then Daniil Trifonov, the 2011 Tchaikovsky Piano Competition Winner, makes his debut with the orchestra to perform Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3.

Rimsky-Korsakov’s colorful Scheherazade rounds out the program, spotlighting Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow.
