This week, From the Top is at the Chautauqua Amphitheater at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, N.Y., where you'll hear a teenage guitarist play his own arrangement of Scarlatti and a 13-year-old pianist perform Liszt. You'll also hear from an 18-year-old soprano who not only met her idol, Renee Fleming, but had the great soprano select the piece she'll perform on the show.

Program details:

Laura Park, violin, age 18 from Des Plaines, Ill., performs the Waltz-Scherzo, Op.34 by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, accompanied by Christopher O'Riley, piano.

Xavier Jara, guitar, age 18 from Arlington, Minn., performs the Sonata in D major, K.53 by Domenico Scarlatti.

Emily Helenbrook, soprano, age 18 from Alexander, N.Y., sings "O luce di quest'anima" (Oh! star that guid’st my fervent love) from the opera Linda di Chamounix by Gaetano Donizetti, accompanied by Christopher O'Riley, piano.

Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Franz Zhao, composer and piano, age 17 from San Francisco, performs his piece "Ideas" for violin and piano with From the Top alum Alexandra "Allie" Switala, violin, age 18 from Grapevine, Texas.

Ho Joon Kim, piano, age 13 from Los Angeles, performs the Hungarian Rhapsody No.12 in C-Sharp minor (5:30) by Franz Liszt (1811-1886). Ho Joon is a student at The Colburn School in Los Angeles.
