Presented by Portland Piano International, This week's From the Top comes to you from the Newmark Theater in Portland, Ore., where you'll hear two sisters from New York playing Percy Granger’s two-piano Fantasy on "Porgy and Bess" and an outstanding trio from Julliard perform the holy grail of chamber music written the French horn. Also, we'll catch up with a 15-year-old violinist who first performed on our show at the tender age of 11.

Violinist Simone Porter, 15, from Seattle, performs III. Allegro Animato from the Violin Sonata No.3 in C minor, Op.45 by Edvard Grieg.

Pianist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Ruta Kuzmickas, 16, from Portland, performs Waltz in A–flat major, Op.34, No.1 by Frédéric Chopin.

The Aries Trio (French horn player Roy Femenella, 18, from Brooklyn, N.Y.; violinist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Jisoo Kim, 18, from Palisades Park, N.J.; and pianist T.J. Tario, 18, from New York City) performs II. Scherzo: Allegro from the Horn Trio in E-flat major, Op.40 by Johannes Brahms.

Percussionist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Noah McKee, 17, from Traverse City, Mich., performs "Tambourin Chinois" by Fritz Kreisler, arr. George Hamilton Green.

Gemini Shortcake Duo (pianists Alison & Serina Chang, ages 17 and 14, from New York City) perform the "Fantasy on George Gershwin's Porgy & Bess for Two Pianos" by Percy Grainger.
