This week, from the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Jamaica Plain, Mass., From the Top celebrates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through the eyes of today's teenagers. You'll hear the Boston Children's Chorus sing several inspiring pieces and meet a 17-year-old bassoonist whose path parallels Coretta Scott King's early years in music.

Boston Children's Chorus, ages 13–18, from Boston, performs "Allelulia" by Randall Thompson. Anthony Trecek-King, artistic director.

From the Top Alumni String Quartet (violinist Tessa Lark, violinist Ryan Shannon, violist Clayton Penrose-Whitmore, and cellist Michael Dahlberg) from Boston, performs II. Molto adagio from String Quartet No.1 by George Walker.

Boston Children's Chorus performs "My Soul's Been Anchored In The Lord", trad. spiritual, arr. Moses Hogan and "In His Care-O", trad. spiritual, arr. William Dawson.

Bassoonist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Alexandra Nelson, 17, from Orleans, Mass., performs Aria from Sonatine for Bassoon and Piano by Alexandre Tansman.

Boston Children's Chorus, guitarist David Waite, bassist Branden Miles, and violinist Tessa Lark perform "I'll Fly Away" by Albert E. Brumley, arr. Jim Papoulis.
