On February 2, avant noisemakers Zs took the stage with turntablist and producer DJ /rupture for an evening of improvisation and collaboration as part of the 2013 Ecstatic Music Festival.

The performance opened with alternating sets between the two groups before settling into Weakling, an improvisation-based piece that incorporated a composition for DJ /rupture's Sufi Plug-Ins Drone – a software instrument developed as part of rupture's ongoing project in which, according to Sufi's site, "software design, music tools, encoded spirituality, digital art, and indigenous knowledge systems overlap."

The collaboration inspired Zs – a Brooklyn-based band that just celebrated its 10th anniversary with a four-disc retrospective "SCORE" – to present an installation project of the same name at locations in Tokyo and Brooklyn which gives audience members the opportunity to remix the band's music live.

Q2 Music is the digital venue for the Ecstatic Music Festival 2013 and will be the center for on-demand artist interviews and concert audio.
