On Mar. 21, pianist Simone Dinnerstein and singer-songwriter Tift Merritt took the stage at Merkin Concert Hall for the final performance of the 2013 Ecstatic Music Festival in a program that included pairings of J.S. Bach's works for solo keyboard and Merritt's original songs to sparkling contributions from jazz pianist Brad Mehldau and singer-songwriter Patty Griffin.

The concert also celebrated the duo's recently released album, "Night," the culmination of a fruitful, cross-genre collaboration between Dinnerstein's Juilliard-trained, New York sensibilities and Merritt's folksy North Carolina roots.
