When in doubt return to the source, especially when that source is Elliott Carter, David Lang, or other informed, articulate and engaging promoters of their own music. This week on the program we let the artists do the talking with interspersed introductions by some of the decade's most prominent composers and performers.

Tune in all week long for a counterpoint of commentary, introduction and music from the likes of composers Carter, Lang, Steve Reich, Derek Bermel, Aaron Jay Kernis, Christopher Cerrone, Timothy Andres, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Sebastian Currier, and many others.

It's not every week that we plug our show with a tease for the following, but a similar interaction of interview, commentary and music will take place next week with piano-guru Pierre-Laurent Aimard taking the driver's seat, talking his way through music by Charles Ives, Olivier Messiaen, Gyorgy Ligeti, and more.

Not to be missed!
