This week, From the Top comes from the Studzinski Recital Hall on the campus of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where you'll hear a teenage cellist from Chicago perform from Rachmaninoff’s beautiful Sonata in G Minor and a young violinist from Washington play the first movement from Poulenc's Sonata and talk about her colorful home on Whidbey Island. Also, a From the Top alum returns to play piano and challenge Christopher O'Riley to a "pepper flipping" contest.

Violinist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Gloria Ferry-Brennan, 15, from Langley, Wash., performs I. Allegro con fuoco from Sonata by Francis Poulenc.

Clarinetist Moon Sun Yoo, 17, from the Walnut Hill School in Natick, Maine, performs Introduction, Theme and Variations by Gioacchino Rossini.

Elan Duo (violinist Nash Ryder, 15, from Arundel, Maine, and harpist Anna DeLoi, 16, from Plaistow, N.H.) perform Prelude from the Suite Bergamasque by Claude Debussy.

Pianist Allen Wong Yu, 19, from Cohoes, N.Y., performs The Great Gate of Kiev from Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky, arr. Horowitz.

Cellist Ben Manis, 17, from Chicago, performs III. Andante from the Sonata in G minor for Cello and Piano, Op.19 by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
