This week's Young Artists Showcase is a return to Philadelphia for more from the concerts presented by Astral Artists. Since 1992, Astral Artists has selected and supported exceptional emerging artists, often presenting their Philadelphia recital debut.

A few weeks ago the Young Artists Showcase featured a pair of remarkable young wind players: flutist Angel Hsiao and clarinetist Romie de Guise-Langois, both winners of the Astral Artists annual auditions. Hear more from their recent concerts at the Trinity Center for Urban Life in Philadelphia. And in the middle, a WQXR debut from Moscow-born pianist Ilya Poletaev (with much more from him to come next week).

Program details:

Paul Taffanel: Grand Fantasie on Mignon
— Angel Hsiao, flute; Alexandre Moutouzkine, piano.

Medtner: Sonata Reminiscenza
— Ilya Poletaev, piano.

Brahms: Sonata in F Minor
— Romie de Guise-Langlois, clarinet; Andrea Lam, piano.

Live 2012 recordings from the Trinity Center for Urban Life in Philadelphia.
