Gil and Orli Shaham live in the Greenespace (WQXR / The Greene Space)

Before Gil and Orli Shaham became internationally known performers, they were budding talents on the Young Artists Showcase. We’re thrilled to welcome the brother and sister Shaham team back to the Showcase to help celebrate our 38th Anniversary.

Gil, who made his concerto debut at 10-years-old with the Jerusalem Symphony, will be performing a movement from Bach’s Second Violin Sonata. Orli, an accomplished pianist and radio host, plays Avner Dorman and Johannes Brahms.

The siblings then come together for works by Dvorak and Beethoven, all recorded live for a special audience of supporters in the Jerome L. Greene Performance Space.

Program:

Beethoven: Violin Sonata No. 5, Op. 25: II. Adagio molto espressivo
— Gil Shaham, violin; Orli Shaham, piano

Bach, Violin Sonata No. 1 in A minor, BWV 1003: IV. Allegro
— Gil Shaham, violin

Dorman: After Brahms
— Orli Shaham, piano

Brahms: Intermezzo No. 1, Op. 119
— Orli Shaham, piano

Dvorak: Sonatina, Op. 100
— Gil Shaham, violin; Orli Shaham, piano
