The New York Times gave kudos to Susan Platts for her "dark, richly toned voice" in this recent Frick concert. Accompanied by pianist Rena Sharon, the Canadian mezzo sings songs drawn from the love triangle of Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, and his wife Clara.
