This week, from the Fisher Theater at Iowa State University in Ames, From the Top’s outstanding performers include a 16-year-old pianist from Massachusetts performing the music of Igor Stravinsky, an incredible octet from Ohio performing Mendelssohn, and a young oboist who has an unusually challenging relationship with her high school band director – he’s her dad!
