Brooklyn's already scorching cool factor goes up a notch this weekend when the fifth annual Brooklyn Book Festival takes over book stores, bars and arts spaces all over the borough. This year, the literary block party lasts all weekend. More than 200 smart, multi-cultural writers will read their work at big-name Brooklyn institutions like the Brooklyn Academy of Music and St. Ann's Warehouse.

In this week's Arts File on WQXR, WNYC's Kerry Nolan finds out what's new about the festival from Boris Kachka, who writes on book publishing for New York Magazine.
