Talujon performs live at the 2015 Look & Listen Festival (Steven Schreiber)

Night two of the 2015 Look & Listen Festival took place in the Whitebox Art Center of New York's Lower East Side with performances by the Daedalus Quartet, which opened the evening with pieces by Anna Weesner, Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, and her former student Luke Carlson.

Virtuoso accordionist William Schimmel offered a solo performance of his 1971 Parousia, and Daniel Fawcett’s Riotous Thrashing – which won first prize at the Look & Listen Composers Competition  was performed by the percussion ensemble Talujon. Talujon closed the evening with music by Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir.

The evening was hosted by Fred Sherry, who lead interviews with visual art curator Maximillian William and several of the featured composers. Listen to the full audio, including interviews, above and excerpted pieces below.
