The Young Artists Showcase visits Philadelphia-based Astral Artists for the first of two Showcase episodes devoted to the winners of its national auditions. Since 1992, Astral Artists has nurtured and developed young, talented artists from around the world.

This week features cellist Christine Lamprea playing Leo Janacek’s Pohádka and "Chanson perpetuelle" by Ernest Chausson, the latter of which includes violist Born Lau, an Astral alum we featured last year. These performances were recorded in concert last fall at the Trinity Center for Urban Life and at the Church of the Holy Trinity near Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia.
