This spring, WQXR is presenting weekly broadcasts of the Berlin Philharmonic, recorded live in Berlin, exclusively for WQXR. During the month of May, hear Simon Rattle lead the orchestra in a complete cycle of Beethoven symphonies. On this episode, you'll hear Symphonies No. 2 and 5, as well as the Leonora Overture, which the composer wrote for his opera Fidelio.
