@ Martin -- Unfortunately, it's always a minute-by minute decision. While the broadcast was cancelled, the concert was not. At 7:30, it was raining pretty steadily, and they announced a 30-minute delay.

The concert was played as planned (sans intermission). Also unfortunately, umbrellas were up for the last three movements of the von Weber. And I most likely lost an umbrella.

But it was a beautifully played concert, if a little uncomfortable. DD~~

We love these concerts yet it would really help to get updates on cancellation due to weather. Could any official maybe provide an update?

May I know if the concert tonight is still on given the weather?

Nice to see some advance notice for this. As of right now (8/8), the weather looks a little but iffy. But I plan on being there if the weather holds out. I'll be wearing my CMS T-shirt. Let's see a sea of blue and green! DD~~
