This week’s Young Artists Showcase takes a look at some previously featured young artists with performances that will be aired on the program for the first time.

Chelsea Wang was 18 when she appeared on the Young Artists Showcase this past May, playing a recital at the Ossining Public Library. From that same performance, Wang will play an impressive rendition of Rachmaninoff’s Corelli Variations. Next, hear a young baritone fresh out of high school. Aaron Bigeleisen demonstrates his extraordinary and precocious range, singing a Schubert lieder followed by two traditional American classics.

To close the program, rising violin star Bracha Malkin returns to Young Artists Showcase for a second week with a splendid performance of Prokofiev’s Sonata No.2.
