Evnin Rising Stars, Part 2
Wednesday, June 22, 2016
The curtain is up on the Caramoor Festival’s summer season, and this week, Young Artists Showcase presents the second half of a two-part series on the 2015 Evnin Rising Stars concerts, presented at the venue last fall.
Evnin Rising Stars is a mentorship program that gives young artists the opportunity of a week's worth of coaching, rehearsing and performing with esteemed musicians. This week’s program, which will air Wednesday at 9 pm, features both emerging and established musicians in a performance of the finale from Dvořák’s sextet for strings, Webern’s Langsamer Satz, and Faure’s piano quartet in C minor.
For more music from Caramoor this summer, listen to the archived broadcast of its opening concert, and tune into WQXR’s live presentation of the season finale concert on Sunday, Aug. 7 at 4:30pm.
