Tune in Thursday at 9 pm, to hear Manfred Honeck, the Austrian-born music director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, lead the New York Philharmonic in an evening of music by Austrian and German composers. The program begins with Beethoven's "Pastoral" Symphony, followed by Richard Strauss's Oboe Concerto, featuring philharmonic principal oboist Liang Wang. Franz von Suppé's chestnut, the Poet and Peasant Overture, closes this episode. Alec Baldwin hosts.
