Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition 2015 - Winners Concert (Kaufman Music Center / YouTube)

This week we meet the winners of the 2015 Youth Piano Competition from The Kaufman Music Center. This past summer they performed in concert at New York’s Merkin Concert Hall. With three age categories, the competition is open to performers from the age of 7 to 17. In 2013, the Young Artists Showcase broadcast the very first competition, and we’re happy to return to see the contest in fine order.

The concert opens with an astonishing young pianist named Oscar Paz Suaznabar. He began playing by ear at age 2. Now all of nine years old, Oscar took home 3 awards in the Junior 1 Division of the 2015 competition.
