Agata Zubel Agata Zubel (Tomasz Kulak)

On Jan. 14, 2016, fast-rising Polish composer-vocalist Agata Zubel joined cellist Jeffrey Zeigler for a multimedia collaboration with performance artist and choreographer Ashley Robicheaux as part of the Ferus Festival.

The hour-long collaboration, called Between was curated by Robicheaux, a recent graduate of New York University's Tisch School School of the Arts. Zubel was also one of Q2 Music's choices for our 2014 rundown of Imagination-Grabbing, Trailblazing Artists. Zeigler, a former member of the Kronos Quartet, is a prolific collaborator; he's worked with John Zorn, Steve Reich and Tom Waits, among many other artists.

The 2016 Ferus Festival was curated by VisionIntoArt and featured six performances incorporating music, theater and visuals at Brooklyn venue National Sawdust.
