Tune in Wednesday at 9 pm for the second part of the Young Artists Showcase's presentation of Italian pianist Luca Buratto, the 2015 Honens Piano Competition prize laureate. The Honens committee selected Buratto for his virtuosity, interpretive vision and collaborative sensitivity, all of which are embodied in the “complete pianist.”

This week’s show features Buratto’s collaborative work, including his performances of French and Spanish songs with soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian. The program also includes Lutoslawski’s Dance Preludes that the composer wrote in 1954 based on Polish rhythms, a Hindemith sonata for viola and piano and the finale of Mozart’s “Kegelstatt” trio. But first, we'll hear the pianist's solo work with the finale of Schumann's Fantasy in C Major.
