Listen: Imogen Cooper Performs Schumann and Schubert

For the season finale of our Concerts at the Frick Collection series, acclaimed British pianist Imogen Cooper performs some of the last works by Schumann and Schubert.
"I try for a story to be told and to bring much color and difference of material to the sound in the piano," says Cooper of her playing. For her performance at the Frick she presents a the last work that Robert Schumann wrote for the piano, the "Ghost Variations." After the break we'll hear her rendition of Schubert's Sonata in B-Flat Major, also written towards the end of the composer's life.
