A June 10th concert at the 2016 Ojai Music Festival centered on Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho, with performances from vocal octet Roomful of Teeth and International Contemporary Ensemble.

Saariaho, one of the most visible and influential composers of her generation, was featured throughout the festival;opening night featured the chamber version of her opera The Passion of Simone and two other afternoons were dedicated to Saariaho's music.

This afternoon performance includes her five-part Kesäpäivä for a cappella chorus and percussion, the piano trio Light and Matter, the flute/piano duo Terrestre and Adjö for flute, guitar and voice.

This on-demand music is part of a partnership between Q2 Music and the Ojai Music Festival to share live recordings from the festival dating back to the 2012 season.
