San Fermin and NOW Ensemble perform together at the 2017 Ecstatic Music Festival (David Andrako)

On Jan. 25 at 7:30 pm, tune in for a live stream of indie rockers San Fermin and new-music mainstays Now Ensemble live from the Ecstatic Music Festival at Merkin Concert Hall.

San Fermin is an eight-member band led by classically-trained composer and pianist Ellis Ludwig-Leon. The group released its latest album Jackrabbit in 2015. Ludwig-Leon has also collaborated with the New York City Ballet, the Alabama Symphony, Metropolis Ensemble and Brooklyn Youth Chorus.

NOW Ensemble is a group of composers and performers dedicated to the music of living composers. The ensemble's upcoming season includes new works by ensemble members Judd Greenstein, Mark Dancigers and Patrick Birk as well as commissions from Sean Friar and Ellis Ludwig-Leon. Past commissions include music by Missy Mazzoli, Nico Muhly and Timothy Andres.
