Yarn/Wire (Look and Listen Festival)

Listen to the opening concert of the fifteenth annual Look and Listen Festival, live from BRIC House on April 29, 2016 and hosted by cellist Fred Sherry.

Dutch pianist Saskia Lankhoorn performs the New York City premieres of Stories for Ocean Shells and The Body is an Ear by her long-time collaborator, Kate Moore. The winner of the Look and Listen 2016 composers competition, J. Alexander Brown's Music for Double Bass is performed by bass ensemble Hollerbrag. The concert ends with Mind is Moving by Chiyoko Szlavniks, played by Yarn/Wire.

Between selections, Sherry interviews the musicians and interdisciplinary artist Audra Wolowiec, whose piece The Music of the city is free was the visual representation of the 2016 Festival.
