Cellist Maya Beiser performs at the 2015 Ojai Music Festival (Ojai Music Festival)

Listen to cellist Maya Beiser and Steven Schick, music director of the 2015 Ojai Music Festival, perform works by Osvaldo Golijov, Michael Harrison and Roland Auzet, recorded live in concert at the Ojai Music Festival on June 12, 2015.

Opening with Golijov's duet for cello and percussion, Mariel, the performance incorporates light, film and drama to heighten the spiritual and psychological questioning common to each composition. Harrison's Just Ancient Loops (with film by Bill Morrison) is second on the program, and the night ends with the American premiere of Auzet's La Cathédrale de Misère.

This on-demand music is part of a partnership between Q2 Music and the Ojai Music Festival to share live recordings from the festival dating back to the 2012 season.
