Violist Nadia Sirota continued her week-long residency at Symphony Space on Feb. 2 with indie-classical pieces by Sufjan Stevens, Judd Greenstein and Marcos Balter, performed by her ensemble yMusic.

The evening was originally meant to focus on composer Valgeir Sigurðsson's score for the film "Dreamland," but a late change prompted Nadia to invite her longtime ensemble yMusic to explore music from its two full-length albums "Beautiful Mechanical" and "Balance Problems" as well as three yet-to-be released pieces by composer Son Lux.

Sirota is a founding member of the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, yMusic and the Wordless Music Orchestra. She also teaches in the Contemporary Performance Program at the Manhattan School of Music and is the host of Q2 Music's acclaimed Meet the Composer podcast.
