This month WQXR is taking you to the Lucerne Festival to hear some of the world’s finest performances in a gorgeous Swiss setting. Our series began on Nov. 1, with pianist Gabriela Montero performing a Latin version of Edvard Grieg’s classic concerto with conductor Marin Alsop and the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra. Marin and Gabriela - what a combination -totally irresistible. Saw the BBC proms performance and was captivated.
