Today at 1 pm, tune in for the LA Opera's broadcast of Mozart's enchanting comedy. It stars Lawrence Brownlee as Tamino, Janai Bruggeri as Pamina, Evan Boyer as Sarastro and Erika Miklosa as the dreaded Queen of the Night.

These are the first U.S. performances of an inventive staging that originated at the Komische Oper Berlin, created by director Barrie Kosky in combination with the British theater group 1927.

Sorry to hear about Bergonzi....fantastic, singular, great in dramatic and lyrical roles: a great Radames as well as Nemorino. One of the few truly instantly recognizable voices in the world!
