It’s a better-late-than-never edition of the McGraw-Hill Financial Young Artists Showcase this week, as host Bob Sherman shares some long-lost musical mementos from his broadcast days.
The program begins with a 1972 performance from a chamber group made up of members of the U.S Military Academy Band called the Lydian Chamber Players. This performance was recorded at the old WQXR auditorium at The New York Times building. Moving forward is a 2007 concert with students from the Munich Conservatory, and a 2013 performance by the Baltic Sea Youth Symphony at the Usedom Music Festival in Germany.
