Peter Dugan, Bob Sherman, and John Brancy

This week on the Young Artists Showcase, we honor Memorial Day with music. Baritone John Brancy and pianist Peter Dugan join host Bob Sherman in the studio to perform songs connected to World War I. Many of the selections from this program are from their recently released album A Silent Night: A WWI Memorial in Song, and the program includes music by Debussy, Orff, Ives, and more.

Brancy and Dugan met and began collaborating while they were students at The Juilliard School. Brancy has sung with Florida Grand Opera, the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and Glyndebourne, as he has an active career as a concert soloist, appearing across the United States and abroad. Dugan has also performed across the world with artists such as Itzhak Perlman and Joshua Bell. He enjoys playing jazz and pop in addition to classical repertoire.

Tune in Friday at 10pm for the Young Artists Showcase.
