Imagine what he'll be doing at 25!

For me the highlight of this broadcast was The Isle of the Dead. Not to in any way diminish the performances of the Rhapsody or the 2nd Concerto but both of these pieces have more superb performances available than one can shake a stick at. But this performance of the too overlooked Isle was the most evocative, detailed and sinuous I have ever heard.

Danil is an outstanding pianist at 24 years old. One of the best ever! Thank you NY Philharmonic to make it possible.

I had the great pleasure of hearing this program on Friday evening. I was greatly depressed by the unfolding events in Paris from earlier in the day and this concert was a very welcome antidote.

Bravo to Mr. Trifonov, Maestro Măcelaru and our own New York Philharmonic. And thank you for helping me (and others) remember what magnificent heights human beings can still achieve even while others aspire to the depths of depravity.

So exciting a program thank you Daniil for sharing your talent to the world especially now with all the terrible tragedies in France! God bless you!

Wednesday's Rachmaninoff concert at Geffen Hall was glorious. Trifonov is an astounding virtuoso. The Rhapsody on a Theme was breathtaking. The 2nd Concerto was sublime. Bravi to the Philharmonic, Macelaru and Trifonov. A concert to remember.
