Tune in Wednesday at 9pm for this week's episode featuring a pair of young keyboard virtuosi who return to the Showcase. First up is Jennifer Nicole Campbell, now on the faculty at music schools in Delaware and Pennsylvania. She performed Beethoven’s Piano Sonata in E Major, No. 30, Op 109, a work by Israeli composer Avner Dorman, and one of Campbell’s own compositions. Then Liszt from pianist Michael Davidman (http://pianistmichael.instantencore.com/web/home.aspx), who first appeared on the Showcase playing a Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody at age 15. Now a winner of the Kaufman Music Center’s Youth Piano Competition, Davidman performed Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E-flat with the Manhattan School of Music’s Pre College Philharmonic. More from that bright, young ensemble next week.
