Charles Dutoit conducts the New York Philharmonic in a program honoring the 80th birthday of Polish composer and conductor Krzysztof Penderecki. The program features the orchestra's first-ever presentation of Penderecki’s Concerto grosso, with Principal Cello Carter Brey and cellists Alisa Weilerstein and Daniel Müller-Schott as the soloists. Bookending the program is Ravel’s Rapsodie espagnole and his orchestration of Musorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
