Tune in Saturday at 1 pm to hear Renée Fleming star in Susan Stroman's production of Franz Lehár's The Merry Widow. Joining her are baritone Thomas Hampson, as her former flame Count Danilo, and Heidi Stober as the former cancan dancer Valencienne.

Set in 19th-century Paris, the story begins with the nearly bankrupt Ponteverdian leaders trying to keep their country afloat. Their future relies on keeping the inheritance of the recently widowed Hanna in the country. To ensure this happens, the ambassador and his wife, Valencienne, try to encourage a second marriage between Hanna and the count. But the count has vowed to remain a bachelor, and Hannah says her inheritance will disappear if she remarries. In the end, it's love that prevails.

Sir Anthony Davis conducts the production.
