Tune in at 10 pm Saturday for a program, featuring one young pianist-composer, Dina Pruzhansky. Born in Azerbaijan and educated in Israel, Pruzhansky moved to New York 10 years ago. She recently came to the Young Artists Showcase studio along with a pair of vocalists, Christiana Cole and Rachel Arky. The trio performed arias from Pruzhansky’s opera Shulamit, which is based on the Song of Songs. (The opera will return to the JCC Manhattan in March.) They also presented excerpts from the Broadway-style musical The Piglets, as well as a children’s piece Pruzhansky wrote in collaboration with YAS host Bob Sherman, performed by Downtown Music in White Plains, New York.
