This week, the Young Artists Showcase revisits a studio session from earlier this year featuring trumpeter Brandon Ridenour. Ridenour became the youngest-ever member of the Canadian Brass quintet when he joined the ensemble at the age of 20. During his most recent session at WQXR, Ridenour was joined by pianist Naomi Kudo and members of his acoustic ensemble USEFULchamber to perform new arrangements of Bach, Bartók, Debussy, Mompou, and a mid-century British ensemble called The Beatles.
