No composer could write art songs better than Franz Schubert, who wrote more than 600 such lieder. You can hear some of this great music, including pieces that describe a trout, a spinning wheel and an evil elf, this week on Classics for Kids.

Music used within the program (all by Schubert):
Die Forelle
Gretchen am Spinnrade
Erlkönig
Trout Quintet
